Meet Taylor Holmes, Owner of Holmes Media

Meet Taylor Holmes, owner of Holmes Media LLC. She started her photography business 10 years ago and has never looked back!

She took on Holmes Media LLC full-time two years ago, and her business has been flourishing.

“I pride myself on being a photographer that clients/vendors can feel comfortable with, and I work diligently to ensure that my couples have fun,” Taylor says. “It’s so important to me that my couples actually take time to soak in the joy of those beautiful moments.”

She describes her photography style as eclectic, fun and vibrant – and we couldn’t agree more!

“The art, culture, and history of the world around me! When I’m in a creative rut, I take my camera and just go,” Taylor says. “I let it lead me wherever it wants – sometimes outside in nature, other times in the studio trying something new.”

Holmes Media LLC offers three wedding packages for her couples:

The Basics Package includes the ceremony and family/party photos.

The Essentials Package includes eight hours of full wedding day coverage.

The Works Package includes eight hours of wedding coverage and both engagement and bridal/boudoir shoots prior to the wedding day.

“I’m someone who can connect with just about anyone, and I love that about myself,” Taylor says. “I carry this small superpower with me to every shoot and wedding!”

Photographer Spotlight: Tiffany Cole Photography

Tiffany Cole Photography is located in Searcy, Arkansas, and has always loved photography. Since she was little, she would sit on the floor with pictures and just look at them. She got her first camera at 16 years old and has always had an artistic eye.

“I love putting a smile on everyone’s face,” Tiffany said.

Tiffany’s light and airy photography style sets her apart from other photographers in Arkansas, plus her affordable prices and experience in the industry. She started her business in 2015 while living in Oklahoma, and moved to Arkansas in 2022.

“I think brides should hire me because I’m a nice person. I can help with any wedding-related things that might come up,” Tiffany said. “I feel that my wedding packages are within the budget of most brides.”

Her “Basic Package” features a four-hour wedding-day coverage for $1,000, 100+ images and an online gallery. This package is perfect for elopements, small weddings and ceremonies.

Her “Prestige Package” is a $2,000 full wedding-day coverage with 400+ images, bridal and engagement session, online gallery and a 10×10 wedding album.

She also offers an “Elopement Package” for $600. A one-hour session with a minister, 65 images and an online gallery. Her “Senior Sessions” for graduating high school and college seniors start at $200 (and up to $600!). The Bride Chop: Cutting Your Hair on The Big Day!

There’s a daring new moment that more brides are embracing, and it looks like the trend of cutting their hair on the wedding day isn’t going anywhere in 2026. Here’s a look at why it’s capturing imaginations — and why it feels likely to stick!

In 2026, brides are proving that the boldest accessory on a wedding day isn’t just the dress — it’s the haircut. The “wedding chop,” where a bride cuts her hair during the celebration, has transformed from a daring experiment into a full-blown movement.

More than a beauty choice, it’s a statement of transformation: stepping into marriage with a fresh look that symbolizes new beginnings. The reveal adds drama, surprise, and a deeply personal twist to the day, creating an unforgettable moment for both the couple and their guests. As weddings continue to shift toward authenticity and storytelling, the mid-day haircut trend isn’t just here for a season — it’s carving out a permanent place in the bridal playbook.

Julia Stroud loved getting her hair cut before her first look with Alex. “I kept it a secret from Alex until he saw me at the first look,” Julia said. “ It was so fun for all of my girls to be in the room cheering, taking Polaroids and bringing such fun energy!”

2026 Wedding Party Color Trends

From warm peachy hues to whimsical pastels, 2025 and 2026 wedding color palettes are emerging soft and smooth, with just enough flair to make a statement. If you’re planning a wedding in Arkansas or anywhere that loves charm and modern romance, these upcoming color trends will set the tone for a stylish, personal celebration.

Spoiler: we’re seeing lots of playful pairings, sunset vibes, and garden-party magic.

Here’s a look at what’s trending:

Orange You Glad Orange is Back?

Orange is making a joyful comeback, especially when paired creatively. Combine orange with soft pinks and sunny yellows for a dreamy sunset-inspired palette. Want something bolder? Match it with blues and pinks for a fun, vibrant contrast that lifts the spirit. For a more ethereal, whimsical look, mix orange with lilac and greens—perfect for an outdoor wedding or romantic spring celebration.

With pinks and yellows to simulate a sunset-inspired concept.

With blues and pinks to embrace contrasts and bright spirits.

With lilac and greens for an ethereal feel.

Blue-ming Pairings

Light blue quietly takes center stage, offering clean elegance and timeless appeal. This calming hue works beautifully with pinks and purples, creating a soft palette that sidesteps overly traditional tones while keeping things romantic. For a fresh, Southern-inspired vibe, light blue alongside yellows and greens delivers the perfect springtime atmosphere.

Light blue gives the clean, timeless elegance that 2025 and 2026 weddings desire.

With pinks and purples to offset the sometimes too traditional pink and purple accents.

With yellows and greens for a spring-centered, southern vibe.

Whimsical Weddings

Pastels remain popular for weddings, but they’re getting a fresh, playful update in the coming years. Consider mismatched pastel bridesmaid dresses, which honor tradition while feeling completely modern. Pale, buttery yellows, reminiscent of champagne and that iconic yellow dress from How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, offer a sophisticated yet light atmosphere. Greens also continue to be in style, especially in layered monochromatic shades that create a botanical-meets-bridal vibe. Don’t forget patterned bridesmaid dresses—they add just the right touch of whimsy to a classic wedding look.

Pastels remain a wedding classic, but recent and upcoming weddings are giving them a playful twist: bridesmaids in mixed pastels.

Pale, buttery yellows to emulate champagne and How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003) for a light, refined and airy vibe.

Monochromatic greens are what is keeping the green trend alive. Try multiple shades for a botanical meets bridal.

Patterned bridesmaid dresses bring just a splash of modernity to a classic wedding.

Black & White in Sight

Black and white weddings are experiencing a sleek, minimalist trend inspired by Gen Z’s preference for clean lines and sustainability. This classic combination is being enhanced with rich creams, soft golds, and earthy neutrals, especially when paired with a striking white wedding gown. It’s a sophisticated palette that balances luxury with the modern focus on conscious, thoughtful design.

Black and white, timeless and sleek, coming from a surge of minimalism in Gen Z trends.

Golds, creams, and neutrals paired with a striking white wedding gown are sure to highlight the sustainability and minimalism trends.

The Ultimate Hot Springs Wedding Weekend

An itinerary to wow your guests

Wednesday

Last-minute Preparations

You’ll get to Hot Springs before your guests to shore up final wedding details, but be sure to set aside time to relax at one of the city’s best spas. Astral Spa at Oaklawn Hot Springs and Turtle Cove Spa at Mountain Harbor Resort & Spa are two of our favorites.

Treatments We Love

Try the “Journey of Devotion” at Astral Spa at Oaklawn Hot Springs: Arkansas’ only Forbes four-star rated spa. You’ll enjoy a muscle-soothing soak, a warm body cocoon with a hot oil scalp treatment, a massage and a facial.

“Turtle Tranquility” at Turtle Cove Spa: a half-day of pure bliss with a facial, massage, body treatment and chakra balancing to restore calmness and put minds and bodies into harmony.

Both of these popular spas offer enchanting crystal-infused treatments, a nod to Hot Springs’ famed crystal mines.

In Good Favor

Place a quartz crystal from a local mine at each guest’s place setting at your reception for a totally-Hot Springs favor.

Thursday

The Welcome Party

Allow travelers to get settled at their accommodations before hosting a welcome party at Crystal Ridge Distillery. This popular venue is a memorable choice for welcome parties and rehearsal dinners. Our dream for a welcome party here begins with a distillery tour and tasting, followed by cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the historic event space. Embrace the warmth of original 1920s exposed brick and wood beams as you greet guests and set the stage for a memorable wedding weekend.

Warm Welcome

Be sure to include Crystal Ridge Distillery’s moonshine in your Hot Springs-themed welcome bags. We love the “Apple Pie” but there are 12 flavors to pick from!

Friday

The Rehearsal

Create a wedding itinerary for your guests, complete with breakfast recommendations and a planned Friday excursion before the rehearsal.

Oaklawn Hot Springs | Photo Credit: Erin Wilson Photography

The Pancake Shop is Hot Springs’ most beloved breakfast spot. As for the excursion, it’s hard to choose just one. A ranger-led tour of Bathhouse Row is always a good idea. Follow that with private transport to Garvan Woodland Gardens so visitors can experience the breathtaking 210-acre botanical garden. A day at the horse races and casino at Oaklawn Hot Springs is always an exhilarating experience for first-time and repeat visitors alike.

Lunch spots abound. DeLuca’s Pizzeria is popular with celebrities visiting the Spa City, and locals will tell you Stubby’s BBQ, McClard’s Bar-B-Q Restaurant and the Superior Bathhouse Brewery are must-tries too.

Catering Temptations | Photo Credit: Cameron and Elizabeth Photography

Soon, it’s time for the rehearsal dinner. The OAK Room at Oaklawn Hot Springs is a fine dining experience to consider, or try a custom-catered affair (we recommend Catering Temptations!) at the beautiful and cozy Chittum Venue at Forest Lakes—though the options are seemingly endless.

Saturday

The Big Day

There’s a million combinations for how to plan the big day in the Spa City. From incredible venues that are nestled in nature and situated on lake shores to ones that are rich in history or rustic and industrial—there’s so many ways to wed in Hot Springs.

Sunday

Bid Farewell

Don’t let your guests leave without saying goodbye! Thank them for making the journey with a farewell brunch, followed by a bike ride on one of Hot Springs’ acclaimed mountain biking trails. We love The Venetian Dining Room at The Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa, and it’s famous for its Sunday brunch.

The Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa | Photo Credit: The Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa

Rent bikes and take to the Northwoods Trails to soak in the picturesque Ouachita Mountain scenery—a perfect send-off for your most active out-of-towners.

Let’s Get Fancy

Hot Springs’ gangster era in the 1920s-1940s captivates visitors. This romanticized period can serve as fun inspiration for a themed dress code for your wedding guests. Ask your guests to don mobster pinstripes, fedoras, flapper dresses and more from this infamous era. The historic Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa would be the perfect place to host a fête with this flair.

Photography Focus: Love in Motion

Wedding photography truly comes alive when movement takes center stage—twirling dresses, stolen glances and spontaneous laughter frozen in time.

The Ultimate Bridal Gown Guide: After The Big Day

Your wedding dress contains all the sweet, sentimental memories of your special day in a beautiful garment. But once the last dance is over and the cake is gone, your gown still has plenty of life left.

Whether you want to preserve it forever or pass it on to another bride, here’s your ultimate guide to what to do with your dress after the big day:

Not sure what to do yet? Ask yourself:

Will I ever want to wear or display this again?

Am I holding onto it for me, or for someone else?

Would I feel happier knowing it’s being used and loved by someone new?

Whatever you choose, remember: there’s no wrong answer. It’s all about what feels most meaningful to you. Still unsure? Here are some pros, cons and options.

Keeping your gown may seem like the obvious decision due to the memories, meaning and maybe even the happy tears it’s packed with. You spent months (or let’s be real, maybe years) choosing the dress, so it makes sense why you would want to hold onto it. Whether you imagine rewearing it for a vow renewal, repurposing it into something new or saving it for a future daughter, there’s a lot of heart behind keeping it close.

If you’re keeping it…

Preserve it: have it professionally cleaned and boxed up so it stays as dreamy as the day you wore it. If you ever want it for an anniversary, vow renewal or to pass it down, you’ll be glad it’s preserved.

Local tip: Many local bridal boutiques offer gown cleaning and preservation. Try Unveiled Bridal Studio (Little Rock), Gown Preservation Arkansas or ask your seamstress for trusted vendors.

Repurpose it: Turn it into a cocktail dress, robe, christening gown, garter, jewelry or even lingerie.

Make it a household keepsake: Your gown can become pillows, a quilt, stuffed animals, ornaments or even a tree skirt.

Just store it: Maybe you’re not sure yet, and that’s okay! Keep it tucked away while you figure it out. Some things are worth holding onto until you’re ready.

Giving your gown away might seem like a big decision, especially with all the new gifts, responsibilities and emotions swirling around post-wedding. While the idea of preserving your dress for sentimental reasons is sweet, the reality of storing it (leaving it potentially untouched for decades) can feel overwhelming. That’s why giving it a new life can be such a beautiful alternative. Passing your dress on not only clears some physical (and emotional!) space, but it also symbolizes stepping into your next chapter. It could also make another bride’s dream come true. Just remember—letting go doesn’t mean throwing it away. Your gown still deserves love, even if it’s not staying in your closet.

Sell or rent it

StillWhite (Little Rock): Currently showcasing dozens of bridal gowns in Little Rock, with huge markdowns.

Nearly Newlywed: Online bridal marketplace.

Eastgate Bridal Rental (Eureka Springs): Offers full bridal gown rentals—perfect for gowns you want to share for a day, not sell.

Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark, etc.

Donate it

Brides Across America: In support of military and first-responder brides—donate online and help outfit a life-saving wedding.

Brides Against Breast Cancer: Resells gowns to fund breast cancer programs. Must be in excellent condition and under three years old.

Angel Gown Program: Convert your dress into burial gowns for infants.

Local charities, Goodwill, Salvation Army

Do a “Trash the Dress” shoot: Trash the Dress photoshoots are creative, artsy ways to say goodbye to your gown in style—think sandy beach shots, paint parties or dreamy river dips. It’s the ultimate “let go” moment (with a side of glam).

Gift it to a friend or family member: If someone special has always loved your dress, surprise them with it. It’s personal, heartfelt, and keeps the love in the family.

Consignment and vintage stores to consider donating or selling to…

Beautiful Lives Thrift Boutique (Fayetteville, Bentonville and Siloam Springs): women’s thrift store.

Trio’s Consign & Design (Conway): A local consignment spot that takes bridal gowns alongside formalwear and home goods.

Yours Truly Consignment Shoppe (Conway): Offers bridal consignment among its curated fashion pieces.

Heels to Boots Consignment (Conway) & Magnolias (Conway): Both welcome bridal gowns and other occasion wear.

Viki’s @ The Village (Conway): Specializes in bridal consignment and even rentals.

Gently Loved Bridal (Bryant): Provides gently used designer wedding dresses.

Whether you box it up, repurpose it into something new or gift it to another lucky bride, your dress has already done its job by helping tell your love story. Now it’s your turn to give it a new story, in whatever way feels most you.
