Real Wedding: Paige Nicole Seidenschwarz & Colton Clark Rogers
Sept. 27, 2025 | Osage House in Cave Springs | Caitlin Wilson Photography
Paige and Colton met for the first time in fourth grade at a wedding, and have known each other ever since. They reconnected after several years apart during their freshman year of college at a Halloween party. Paige was dressed up as Dorothy from “The Wizard of Oz,” which she would later incorporate into their wedding day.
“We became best friends through a group of four people, Colton’s roommate and my best friend in my sorority, and we met every Monday at Whataburger, forming the weekly holiday ‘Whataburger Mondays,’” Paige said.
As the friendship grew, they realized they were developing feelings for one another.
“We watched ‘The Room’ one night, and I think that’s when I fell in love with him— we couldn’t stop laughing,” Paige said. “We kept quoting it in public, and everyone around us probably thought we were complete weirdos.”
They started dating in 2018 and have been together since then. Through six years of long distance, being 11 hours apart and then only three hours apart, Colton finally popped the question on Mount Sequoyah. Paige was so anxious about the impending proposal that her nose started bleeding!
“When we parked, I refused to get out of the car because I was nervous,” Paige said. “Colton started laughing and came around to my side of the car and opened the door, and proposed to me in the overlook parking lot with a tissue hanging out of my nose and blood everywhere. We later faked the photo at the overlook at sunset with Colton down on one knee.”

Q: What inspired your wedding day look?
A: “The color black has always been my vibe,” Paige said. “I knew that color would be classic, and I would never get tired of looking at the photos. It also matches with everything. I wanted my bridesmaids to have the freedom to show their personalities and choose a dress that they felt beautiful in. I also knew [that] for one of my looks throughout the day I wanted to add something black in some way just to be unique.”

Q: Did you incorporate anything sentimental for the day?
A: “Our cake was inspired by my mom and dad’s wedding cake,” Paige said. “They got married in 1982, and I also wore my mom’s wedding dress to our rehearsal dinner. The train of my mom’s dress was also made into a ring bearer pillow by one of my friend’s grandmothers. For a few of my bridal looks, I wore my grandmother, Bee’s, pearls. On my right ring finger, I wore a ring that Colton gave me for my 21st birthday. I wore silver shoes as a nod to the Wizard of Oz because I was dressed as Dorothy when I met Colton at a Halloween party.”

Q: What inspired your florals?
A: “One thing that I wasn’t confident in booking when first getting engaged was florals – I had no idea where to start. One thing that a ton of people know about me is that I am the antithesis of color, obviously,” Paige said. “I like black and white, dark and moody, classic and chic vibes- so of course I wanted green and white. When I inquired with Cynthia, she immediately made me feel like I was any other client who wanted over-the-top florals. She talked on the phone with me for, I’m not kidding, hours patiently going over with me the types of florals I liked and really deep diving into my vision.”

Q: What surprised you about wedding planning?
A: “How much I stressed over the little stupid things: What color napkins? Should I do real plates if we were just having pizza? I never stressed about the big stuff,” Paige said. “I knew the vendors I chose had everything handled. I just never expected to care so much about the smallest details that I never even cared about when documenting someone else’s day. I also never expected to be so picky about my wedding dress. I went to SIX different bridal boutiques and tried on too many dresses to count.”

Q: What advice do you have for other couples planning their wedding day?
A: “Experience your day,” Paige said. “Enjoy your guests [and] family, have fun with your wedding party, enjoy all of the moments. Truly, if anything, invest in your photo+video team to create art based [on] your experience of your day- don’t plan your wedding day to revolve around only photo opportunities and have a crunched timeline. Do not treat your wedding day like a styled shoot.”

Classic Hollywood Retro
Paige and Colton are huge movie fanatics, and they took a lot of inspiration from some of their favorite movies. Their first dance was a collage of all of their favorite dance moves in classic movies, such as “Napoleon Dynamite” and “La La Land.” Paige walked down the aisle to “Somewhere Over The Rainbow,” from “The Wizard of Oz,” since it was her favorite movie as a kid.
