Real Wedding: Rebecca Burrows & Cameron Hoffman

Rebecca Burrows & Cameron Hoffman

June 14, 2025 | Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm in Goshen | Taylor Renee Photos

Rebecca and Cameron’s story begins during their junior year at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville – although fate had them growing up just 30 minutes away from one another without ever crossing paths! When the world shut down in 2020 from the COVID-19 pandemic, Cameron, determined to bring a little light during those challenging times, asked Rebecca to be his girlfriend. He sent a beautiful bouquet to her aunt’s house in Texas, where she was staying at the time. From hundreds of miles away, this small romantic gesture changed their lives forever.

Over the next five years, they graduated from college, spent time traveling across Europe and supported one another through their careers and graduate school. In June 2025, they officially tied the knot and began their next chapter in life as husband and wife.

On July 6, 2024, Rebecca woke up thinking she would be spending the day with her best friend, Kristen, before they took a road trip to Tulsa. They had brunch at Hail Fellow Well Met in Fayetteville, where the day took a drastic turn for the better. Kristen handed Rebecca a love letter from Cameron. In the letter, he expressed how much he couldn’t wait for them to begin their new lives together as husband and wife. The rest of the day was spent getting ready for the proposal! Kristen and Cameron had set up appointments for Rebecca to get her hair done at Drybar, and when she got home, they had a dress already picked out for her! She then drove to St. Catherine’s at Bell Gable, where Cameron was waiting for her. He got down on one knee and asked Rebecca to spend the rest of her life with him.

“As if that moment wasn’t already perfect, we then drove to my boss’s house, Maggie Owens, where all of our family and friends were waiting to celebrate with us,” Rebecca said. “It truly was the best day ever.”

Q: Did you incorporate anything sentimental?

A: “Butterflies often symbolize transformation, hope and new beginnings, and they’re also seen as a reminder that the people we love are always with us in spirit,” Rebecca said. “Releasing them felt like a special way to remember and celebrate those who will always hold a place in our hearts while beginning this new chapter together.”

Q: What inspired your florals?

A: “I wanted our florals to feel timeless and dramatic while also complementing the natural beauty of the venue,” Rebecca said. “My vision was for them to be a true showstopper when guests first arrived. We focused on full, lush arrangements that felt elegant and romantic, and we even incorporated grapes and pears into some of the arrangements to add a unique, European-inspired touch.”

Q: Was there something about your day that felt very unique to you guys?

A: “One of the most meaningful moments was our exit at the end of the night in my grandpa’s truck,” Rebecca said. “My grandpa had passed away, but being able to include something that belonged to him made the moment feel incredibly personal. It was our way of honoring him and keeping his memory close on such a special day.”

Q: What advice do you have for other couples planning their wedding day?

A: “My biggest advice would be to truly enjoy the season of being engaged and planning your wedding,” Rebecca said. “It can definitely feel stressful at times with so many decisions to make, but the time goes by so quickly. Try to soak in all the little moments along the way, celebrating with friends and family, planning the details, and dreaming about the day together. I would also recommend hiring vendors you truly trust. Having an amazing team around you makes such a difference and allows you to relax and enjoy the process. At the end of the day, the most important part is getting to celebrate your love surrounded by the people who mean the most to you.”

Q: When you look back at your wedding, what part of the day sticks out to you the most?

A: “When I look back at our wedding day, it’s really the people and all the little moments that stand out the most,” Rebecca said. “From getting ready with my closest friends and family, to seeing Cameron for the first time for our vows, every part of the day felt so special. Having all of our family and friends there to celebrate with us meant everything, and the night was filled with so many fun memories from dancing together to surprising our guests with Big Red. It was such an unforgettable day filled with moments I will cherish forever.”

Bringing Italian Romance to NWA

“My dream was always to have a wedding in Italy, but I wanted all of my friends and family there to celebrate with us,” Rebecca said. “Instead, we designed our wedding to feel like guests were stepping into Italy for the evening.”

Love takes Flight

“During our ceremony, we did a butterfly release to honor all of our loved ones who had passed away and couldn’t be there with us,” Rebecca said. “It was such a beautiful and meaningful moment.”
