Tipton & Hurst’s Chris Norwood has seen just about every color story and flower idea out there. So we asked him to share the highlights of the year’s trends thus far — what brides are asking for and what Tipton is using in weddings.
Here’s what he told us:
♥ Fall weddings appear to be trending towards a vintage garden look using more romantic flowers. Brides seem to be less about style and more about the gathered garden look.
♥ Softer tones of cream, white and brown are being requested.
♥ We’ve been seeing this a lot and love it: Bouquets featuring a single color in multiple shades and textures that create a unique look.
♥ Roses are still the flower favorite. They are most commonly paired with hydrangea, peonies and orchids, depending the on the season.
♥ In contrast to the soft palette, an explosion of color is still popular and trending. This look incorporates citrus orange, fuchsia pink, bright yellows and deep reds.
♥ Green continues to be color favorite among brides. Chartreuse (lime green) is a common color, but more brides are mixing it with sage and similar shades. And the timeless combination of green and white remains a wedding staple.
♥ Finally, the organic look is gaining popularity. Many of these looks are infusing mosses, plants, twigs and grasses with more focus on seasonal foliage.
