Real Wedding: Madeline Sorensen & Parker Fraiser

Madeline Sorensen & Parker Fraiser

May 31, 2025 | Argenta Plaza in North Little Rock | Faith Alexander Photography

Through mutual friends, Madeline and Parker’s paths crossed after graduating from college. They became friends until one fateful weekend camping trip at Lake Ouachita. Somewhere between campfire laughs and lake swims, they realized their friendship had been developing into something more the entire time.

Two years later, Parker planned a thoughtful proposal for Madeline. He planned a trip where everything started – Lake Ouachita. Parker got down on one knee and asked Madeline to marry him. After, they took a boat to a cove where their family and friends were waiting to celebrate with them!

“The next evening, he’d even arranged a surprise engagement party back in Little Rock,” Madeline said. “Every detail was so intentional, and the whole weekend reflected us and our story in the most special way.”

Q&A

Q: What was your favorite part of the planning process?

A: “One of my favorite parts of the planning process was sharing my vision board with our planner, Gretchen Larkan, and watching her bring it to life, detail by detail,” Madeline said. “Each vendor meeting made everything feel more real, and Gretchen transformed my ideas into something even more beautiful than I could have imagined.”

Q: What inspired your wedding day?

A: “Parker and I wanted a wedding that felt full of life—colorful, fun, and completely centered around celebrating with the people we love most,” Madeline said. “I’d always dreamed of a tented reception, and we both envisioned a big, lively party with a great band and dance floor energy that lasted all night. We wanted our guests to have so much fun they didn’t want to leave!”

Q: Did you incorporate anything sentimental?

A: “Parker wore his grandfather’s boots for the reception, and we drank from the silver goblets my grandmother gave us before she passed away, which made that moment extra special,” Madeline said. “I also carried my great-grandmother’s embroidered handkerchief wrapped around my bouquet.”
