Real Wedding: Caroline Latture & Seth Carter

Caroline Latture & Seth Carter

July 27, 2024 | Legacy Acres in Conway | The Iris Image

Caroline and Seth’s lives crossed in Cabot during the seventh grade. They quickly became friends and remained close throughout middle school and high school, and followed one another to college at Arkansas State University. When the two friends decided to major in psychology together, they realized they had been part of each other’s lives for nearly a decade.

During their sophomore year at ASU, Seth suggested they try to be more than friends, and it all clicked for Caroline. The love of her life had been growing up with her since she was a teenager!

“Later that summer, we began dating and have been inseparable ever since,” Caroline said. “It didn’t take us long to fall in love. We had been best friends and it just felt like it was meant to be.”

After three years of dating, Seth asked Caroline to marry him. They tied the knot in 2024 at Legacy Acres in Conway and just celebrated five years together in May 2025.

Q&A

Q: Describe the inspiration behind your wedding day details.

A: “We wanted our wedding to feel like a timeless Southern wedding, wanted our guests to have fun, and ultimately to feel the love that we shared between us two,” Caroline said. “I kept referring to the ‘grandmillennial’ [aesthetic]. I wanted there to be old and new elements throughout our wedding and, of course,
lots of blue.”

Q: What inspired your florals?

A: “I wanted it to be bright and to feel like summertime, and lots of hydrangeas (my favorite flower),” Caroline said. “I wanted it to feel like you were walking through a beautiful flower garden. We had a variety of blue hydrangeas, white flowers and greenery throughout the ceremony and reception areas.”

A Walk to Remember

“Leading up to the wedding, It was hard knowing that I wouldn’t have any grandparents there to see me get married,” Caroline said. “I wanted to have them with me on my wedding day by adding their portrait charms on my wedding bouquet and a beautiful ring from my grandmother, Mama Helen, that my dad gave me. It was an honor to have them walk with me down the aisle.”

Mother-Daughter Dance

“I decided early in the planning process that I wanted to surprise my mom with a first dance,” Caroline said. “Father of the bride and mother of the groom get a first dance, but the day wouldn’t have been complete without having a dance with my mom. This was such an unforgettable moment to see her reaction and give her the special moment she deserves.”
