Alexandra Miller & Clete Norton
April 26, 2024 | Four-Fifteen Estates in Texarkana | Jayce Keil Photography & Videography
Alexandra and Clete have known one another most of their lives, but they never truly ran in the same circles growing up. Their two younger sisters became best friends at the same time as the couple, and everyone frequently spent time together. The spark in their relationship ignited when both of their grandmothers signed them up for the town’s Cotillion Ball – and they were dance partners! Unfortunately, the two lost touch after the ball until 2020, when they were all grown up.
“We were both back home in good ol’ Texarkana,” Alexandra said. “Those sisters I mentioned were still very much best friends, still with the very same desire to be sisters. They set their siblings up on a ‘date’ and the rest is history.”

Q&A
Q: What was your favorite part of your wedding?
A: “My aunt and uncle own Circle Park Bridal in Dallas and they graciously let me try on maybe every dress in the store…,” Alexandra said. “When they saw a picture of my dream dress, the wheels started spinning and they said [they] could design it.”
Q: What was your favorite moment of the day?
A: “I loved the reception reveal. Before we were dressed and ready,” Alexandra said. “My mom and I walked over to the reception to see the vision we’d seen in our heads for months in real life. It was stunning!”
Q: Is there a personalized detail that you want us to share about the day?
A: “My parents have been married for 32 years. And 32 years ago, my mom planned their wedding all by herself,” Alexandra said. “I noticed they had goldfish in the flower arrangements. To pay an ode to my parent’s wedding and marriage, we last minute bought a goldfish and added other family memorabilia.”
Q: What was the planning process like?
A: “I felt most prepared for vision execution,” Alexandra said. “My mom and I planned the whole wedding, from high-level design conception to teeny-tiny details. I signed us up for more DIY projects than she ever would’ve agreed to. I made my little vision board and stuck to it so we all knew what to expect and what had to be done. Over-organizing and over-planning are highly recommended.”
Pinterest Phases
Alexandra had a blast opening up her Pinterest and seeing all of her “wedding phases” throughout her life. From mason jars and princess ball gowns to coral and blue color palettes, she enjoyed reliving her dream wedding from her younger years. “I found one Pinterest photo with velvet green tablecloths that I [still loved],” Alexandra said. “I built the entire wedding vision around those tablecloths.”
