CHLOE TAVERNER & DRAKE NOONAN
October 15, 2021 / Kindred Barn
Chloe first met Drake when he was helping her new roommate move into their apartment. They offered to pay him back with dinner and a pitcher of margaritas from their favorite Mexican food restaurant in town. She thought he seemed like such a servant-hearted person who was eager to help his friends. After her roommate moved out, Chloe was sad because she wouldn’t get to see Drake as much–then realized she liked him. Her instincts were right, ultimately fell in love with the man and his willingness to serve and lend a helping hand to others. Two days after their mutual friend’s wedding, Chloe and Drake started dating!
When he proposed, Drake planned an early morning picnic at the lake where the couple had spent a lot of time over the years.
INSPIRATION & DETAILS
Chloe always pictured herself getting married outside surrounded by flowers. She pulled inspiration from art, organic floral design and photos of fall outdoor garden parties. Chloe knew she wanted live music during the ceremony and beautiful flowers everywhere—“garden romance” as she calls it.
She chose several different variations of flowers—including rust color cymbidium orchids, pansies, lavender delphinium, chocolate cosmos, tobacco roses and antique hydrangeas. The florals created a unique color story of brown, lavender and mauve.
Chloe decided to splurge on florals (and photography) because they were the most important aspects of the day to her.
“I’m loving the black and white flash photography at receptions!”

MOMENTS & MEMORIES
Chloe designed and executed the vision of the day with the help of her mom and sisters, who have been in the wedding industry for 15-plus years (her family owns Vase & Vine florist in Clarksville). Together, they dreamt up the wedding design; it was a labor of love for her family and friends.
Chloe’s bridesmaids wore mismatched brown dresses; her two beloved sisters were among the bridal party of her seven. She loved gifting each with a matching lounge set, earrings and a small box of macarons from a local shop in Fayetteville.
Throughout the time they’ve been together, they’ve helped many friends move from one place to another, and would always go out for a pitcher of margaritas after. On their wedding day, they placed handwritten ‘thank you’ cards on their wedding party’s place settings, promising a pitcher of margaritas to repay them all for helping out with the wedding. She recommends that fellow Arkansas brides plan a few moments alone with their new spouse too.
“The day went by quickly, and so many people were around,” Chloe said. “It was nice to have a slow moment together before more craziness and fun.”
“Our first look [photos] calmed my nerves. During our private dinner, we were able to laugh, talk and take in the day together before it was even over.”
