Savanna Spradlin & Andrew Callaway

Both Fort Smith natives, Savanna Spradlin and Andrew Callaway decided to tie the knot in their hometown at a brand new venue. The couple chose to have their big day at the U.S. Marshals Museum, a modern new venue in the city they grew up in. In fact, the couple was the first to be married at the venue.
Planning During a Pandemic
The guest list was originally over 500, but because of COVID-19 restrictions, Andrew and Savanna had to narrow it down to 240. Savanna worked closely with her planner, Anne-Claire Allen Owens of Anne-Claire Planning & Events, to alter what was originally a much bigger wedding but was able to maintain the same style and vision they had brainstormed early on in the planning process.
THE INSPIRATION

Color was the inspiration behind Savanna and Andrew’s big day—bold color, to be exact. Anne-Claire says when she asked Savanna about what shade of orange she had in mind, Savanna said “traffic cone orange.” Bright orange and hot pink paired with the modern architecture of the U.S. Marshals Museum made for an unforgettable wedding backdrop.
Silks-A-Bloom filled the space with an array of floral touches, including a dramatic statement piece in the lounge area—a white wooden frame with hanging orange flowers gave the illusion of floating florals. The avant-garde reception was made even more memorable with a geometric dance floor, created by The Dance Floor Man, that matched the couple’s invitations and signage throughout the day.
HOW THEY CUSTOMIZED
The couple wed at First Baptist Church in Fort Smith before heading to the museum. As they exited the church, they walked out to “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” by Natalie Cole. While the couple took more photos, guests were treated to a cocktail hour as they explored the reception area and enjoyed the couple’s signature drink, the Callaway champagne.
The couple’s five-layer cake featured a different flavor on each layer and different colored fondant rectangles were placed around the cake, mimicking the height of the floral arrangements on the head table.
The fairytale day was made all the more memorable after a whirlwind planning period. Looking back on the day, Andrew says his favorite moment was when they first locked eyes as Savanna walked down the aisle—as they started the beginning of the rest of their lives.
