Of all the romantic places to meet, Fort Smith natives Page Knobloch and Brian Kremer certainly found one — at the wedding of a close mutual friend. Brian was the best man and Page was the best friend of the groom’s sister. “We hit it off immediately and everything was comfortable between us,” Page says. Although the two lived a part at the time, they kept in touch. When she moved to Fayetteville a few months later, they went on their first date. “Our love continued to grow from there, as we truly became best friends,” she says. In June 2012, the couple visited the Dallas Arboretum, spending the day looking at the flowers and the glass sculptures. It was there where Brian got down on one knee and popped the question. “It was the perfect proposal and we’re both excited for our future together,” Page says.
BRIDE’S INSPIRATION
The Arkansas Air Museum was the site of the couple’s unique reception because aviation and flying held a special meaning for them. “Brian is a pilot and has been most of his life,” she says. “Whenever we travel, we always try to find an air museum to visit.” They went with a color palette of gray and blush—a timeless combination that fit in perfectly with the ceremony location.
HOW THEY CUSTOMIZED
The couple came up with the theme “Love Takes Flight” that was carried throughout the whole wedding day, from a custom metal sign and decal on the dance floor to a wooden propeller for the guests to sign. During the actual ceremony, a plane flew over while they were saying our vows. And for their big getaway, Page and Brian co-piloted a plane home to Fort Smith where they received their in-flight congratulations and listened to Frank Sinatra’s “Come Fly with Me” on the radio—the last song they danced to at the reception. “We had embarked on this magical journey together as co-pilots in life, so it was only fitting that we co-pilot the plane home,” she says, “thus, fulfilling the enchanting theme.”
MEMORABLE MOMENT
The “first look” was a defining moment for the two. “I would not trade that for anything,” Page says. “To have that special moment just between the two of us is something that I’ll hold in my heart and cherish forever.”
