Between picking the date, gowns for the bride and bridesmaids, tuxes for groom and groomsmen and type of cake, weddings involve a lot of choices.
And then there’s picking out where it will all unfold. Here are five things to look for when searching for the perfect venue.
- Flexibility. Some venues have a laundry list of rules and regulations that you must follow. Your venue shouldn’t force you to bend your dreams to suit them, but rather bend over backward to make your dreams come true.
- Versatility. Today’s brides want all-inclusive venues — spaces that can house both a wedding and reception. A lot of brides are also leaning toward outdoor ceremonies and indoor receptions. A perfect venue covers all these bases easily.
- Helpful. Venues need to be easily accessible, whether that is over the phone, in person, or being quick to answer initial e-mails. You want a venue that is there for you and not just for your money.
- Vision. The best venues are the ones that help you create your vision for the big day. It takes a lot of planning to get everything together for a wedding, but if your venue is knowledgeable and experienced it will be able to foresee potential problems and smooth rough edges.
- Connections. Good venues can help with more than just booking a location. They should also be able to suggest quality vendors based on your budget and particular needs to make your experience as pain-free as possible.
Remember: Comfort is key. Planning a wedding is a stressful time for everyone. A professional venue will make sure its client is relaxed and confident throughout the process.
