I’ll admit that I really wasn’t planning on having bridal portraits taken.
I didn’t really see the need for a separate session since we will be taking lots of photos the day of the wedding. As I went back and forth trying to decide, I remembered my Aunt Debbie. She has been hounding me for a recent picture to update the third-grade, awkward school photo of me that remains on display in her living room. As I thought about her, I thought other family members might want an updated photo of me, and that would be a great one for them to have (perfect Christmas gifts).
Luckily, bridals were included in the package I purchased from Drew Cason Photography, and I’m starting to get extremely excited. I’ll get to wear my dress twice, get my makeup and hair done twice, and see what my beautiful bouquet will look like before the wedding day!
So, if you’re debating on whether or not to have a bridal portrait shoot, I would highly recommend that you do! As always, I’ve made a list of reasons why you should! 🙂
- You’ll have the one-on-one time to spend with your mother and/or whoever is helping you get ready, without any distractions.
- If you decide you want to change your hair, bouquet, makeup, etc. you still have time to make those changes.
- You’ll be able to see how the dress looks and if any last-minute alterations need to be made.
- Look at this as a time to relax and pamper yourself!
- If you’re camera-shy, this will help you get warmed up for the many photos you’ll be taking on your wedding day.
- You’ll have more time to get all the shots you want of yourself in your beautiful dress, rather than trying to get all of them in before/after the ceremony!
- You will have a photo of you in your dress to display at your reception.
