We’re often asked how married monograms work; these commonly cause confusion:
If you marry someone with a two-word last name:
Example: Maria & Gregg Von Trapp =
MTG
If you hyphenate your maiden and married names:
Example: Amelia Pond-Williams =
AWP
If you marry someone with an O’, Mc or Mac in their name:
Example: Kate & Peter McCallister =
KMP
For two first names, use the initial of your first, first name:
Example: Emily Mae Turner & Preston Turner =
ETP
For a couple’s monogram, the woman’s initial goes first:
Example: Hermione & Ronald Weasley =
HWR
Even if you hyphenate or keep your maiden name:
