Our company’s super cool Internet Editor, Lance Turner has the in when it comes to the latest technology and social networking tools out there. The iPhone 4: He knew about that before everyone. The new Facebook email thing: yep, he knew about that before everyone too. However, it was still a little surprising when he forwarded me a press release, which I’ve shared with you below, about a new website for brides and grooms where they can access and “capture” all the wedding event pictures their guests took.
It’s called Kaptur, and it’s free.
Here’s what the press release had to say:
“Before the proliferation of digital cameras and social media sharing, wedding couples used to place disposable cameras at every table at the reception so their guests could capture candid moments of the wedding. The couple would later develop all the photos to enjoy the wedding from different perspectives.
Today, wedding guests snap photos, videos and make status updates from their mobile devices and digital cameras during the wedding. Upon posting them to social media sites, these important memories are easily sharable, but often get lost in the maze of media online. Kaptur has devised an easy to use and free solution, especially designed for viewing all wedding moments in one place. This tool replaces the disposable camera concept by bringing together photos posted by all wedding guests into a single, time-synchronized album for everyone to enjoy without requiring guests to upload photos a second time…”
Sounds like a beneficial web resource to me.
Try it out and tell us what you think.
