Emily Ann Arnoult & Thomas Arthur Sarna
Oct. 11, 2025 | The Harriet in Springdale | Max Grubb Photography
Emily and Thomas’s love story began as a serendipitous meeting through mutual friends in the dental industry. After she finished dental school and spent a few years working in sun-drenched Florida, destiny called her back to Northwest Arkansas, where their relationship began. After three wonderful years together, they decided to take a personal trip to New York City to design a custom engagement ring. When the ring was finally ready, Thomas couldn’t wait another moment. He popped the question, and Emily didn’t see it coming!

Q: What moment of the day do you wish you could relive over and over again?
A: “The dance floor filled with all of our closest friends with the best live music [and] band ever,” Emily said.

Q: What surprised you about wedding planning?
A: “How much time and effort goes into planning an open-air wedding,” Emily said. “We really didn’t want a tent, so we had to make sure every detail could be executed … in case we had to deal with crazy Arkansas weather.”

Q: What advice do you have for other couples planning their wedding day?
A: “Don’t care about following trends or traditions,” Emily said. “We made the day exactly what we wanted it to be, without the pressure of sticking to the norms. We wanted to remember spending as much time as we could with all of our favorite people in one place.”

Q: What inspired your florals?
A: “My favorite color is pink, so I wanted the design made up of every shade we could find,” Emily said.

Q: What inspired your wedding day look?
A: “I’ve always dreamed about my wedding dress, and didn’t look back as soon as I tried mine on. It was over the top in all the best ways,” Emily said.

Pretty in Pink
“I asked Gretchen for a pink wedding and let her run with it,” Emily said. “The design turned out greater than I could’ve imagined. It was so unique, fun and fresh. A reflection of our personalities.”

History of the Harriet
“Tom and I recently bought this property [The Harriet] and turned it into our wedding venue,” Emily said. “We named our newly renovated venue after [my grandmother] and it was so special to share our day with the woman who shaped me and my life tremendously. I loved having something so special to her close to my heart on one of the best days of my life.”
