Sophie Williams & Tristan Sehika
September 5-6, 2025 | Private Residence In Benton | Linds & Lace Photography, The London Lenz
Sophie and Tristan are high school sweethearts! The couple met in middle school but didn’t make their relationship official until the summer before their junior year of high school. They’ve been together ever since and just celebrated seven years as a couple. Sophie wanted her engagement to be a complete surprise, and Tristan made it happen. She didn’t want an extravagant proposal, but she knew she wanted their families there for the big moment.
“My brother was in town from Chicago, and everyone started to seem off, but I was convinced my brother [would] get engaged,” Sophie said. “Instead, Tristan proposed, surrounded by our favorite people right in front of the Christmas Tree! It was the most thoughtful, sweetest day I could have imagined.”

Q&A
Q: Why did you guys decide to elope?
A: “I am a very sentimental person, and I was super passionate about having a very intimate ceremony,” Sophie said. “We only had 15 people at the ceremony, and then had a bigger pool party reception the following day. I wanted it to be super laid back, zero stress, and simple.”
Q: What moment of the day do you wish you could relive?
A: “Hearing ‘I now pronounce you husband and wife’ was the best moment ever,” Sophie said. “Surrounded by the people who have shaped us into who we are, listening to them clap and giving my new husband a kiss was just surreal. I truly feel so blessed to have married my best friend. Life is just so much sweeter as Mrs. Sehika! It is the greatest honor to be Tristan’s wife.”
Q: What felt unique about your wedding?
A: “Honestly, the entire [weekend] was really unique,” Sophie said. “…We were doing [the ceremony] at our home, and we split the day of the ceremony and reception into a Friday and Saturday. Since our ceremony was so short, we had our guests stand around us – this felt really special and intimate. I would say it wasn’t traditional, not everyone’s vibe, but it was so us!”
