Real Wedding: Hallie May Cruson & Robert David Parker II

Hallie May Cruson & Robert David Parker II

April 26, 2025 | Legacy Acres in Conway | Heather Jenkins Photography

Hallie and Robert met in New Orleans during a fraternity formal. She tagged along on a trip with her roommate and rode in his car. The first night in New Orleans, they started making small talk and hit it off!

When they returned to Fayetteville, Robert asked Hallie on their first official date. “I fell in love with Robbie, truly, that first weekend and week together,” Hallie said. “I knew that there was something special about him and that we just connected on a different level; it felt as if I had known him my whole life.”

Robert fell in love with Hallie in New Orleans, and knew he was going to spend the rest of his life with her. “I fell in love with Hallie on the VEPSA ride in New Orleans when we were just cruising around,” Robert said. “I knew because she was just as excited to get on the Vespa as I was, and getting to spend that full day together just the two of us.

She showed me who she was on that first day, and I knew she was the person I wanted to spend all my adventures with.”

They’ve been together for over two years and tied the knot at Legacy Acres on April 26, 2025.

Q&A

Q: What inspired your florals?

A: “I have loved Hydrangeas, peonies, baby’s breath and white roses forever and could not have imagined doing anything different,” Hallie said. “Once we put them all together, it completed the vision I had for a traditional, timeless, and classy wedding vibe.”

Q: What part of the day sticks out to you the most?

A: “Looking back at our wedding, just being with all of our people in one place sticks out the most to me,” Hallie said. “You are rarely able to bring all your closest friends and family together in one place, and to have them all there to celebrate us was truly something so special. It makes us realize how much each person means to us and how important relationships are.”

Q: What advice do you have for couples planning their big day?

A: “Live in the moment of being engaged,” Hallie said. “It is such a short time in the big picture and truly goes faster than you think. Take the time to be present with each other because it is so easy to get caught up in all the planning and forget why you are actually doing this. Robbie and I had a date once a month on the date that our wedding was on to catch up, check in with each other, and celebrate what was to come.”

The Parent Trap

“When I was born, my sister got to choose the name,” Hallie said. “At that time, her favorite movie was ‘The Parent Trap,’ and she wanted to name me after Hallie Parker from the movie. It has always been a joke in our family that what if one day I truly became ‘Hallie Parker,’ and on April 26th, I did.”
