So we’re not all huge fans of the whole Valentine’s Day thing — and with good reason. Restaurants booked weeks in advance, endless flowers being delivered to the office and lovey-dovey advertising everywhere you turn… it’s a bit of a headache.
Here’s where we come in. Turn Valentine’s Day into something you can love by using it as a day to celebrate your closest friendships. Take a page from our girl Leslie Knope and throw a Galentine’s Day soirée.
We’ve come up with a few Pinterest ideas for you to celebrate a low-key night in with your favorite Galentine’s.
1. Cutsey Drinks
Pink Strawberry Sangria — Simply Whisked
Obviously a pink drink is more than fitting for your Galentine’s celebration. And the best part is, you’ll only need wine, strawberry flavored vodka, lemon-lime soda and strawberries. Easy peasy! For the full recipe click here.
For another refreshing take on the strawberry themed drinks, we present the Redhead in Bed. It’s just as easy to make as the pink strawberry sangria and just as tasty. For the recipe, click here.
2. Yummy Goodies

For some reason, macarons seem to be beyond most people’s baking capabilities. While we’re not saying they’re easy, they’re definitely do-able. PopSugar hooked it up with a great beginner’s guide to macaron making and we’re definitely game to try.
