Inside the New Fall/Winter 2011 Issue of Arkansas Bride

Each year from January through May, we work feverishly to create a gorgeous 130-plus page Fall/Winter edition of Arkansas Bride – an issue that will be your ultimate guide in planning the wedding of your dreams. This year, we added “overhaul our website” to the four-month production schedule, making the first half of this year fly by so fast.

At one point during photo shoot week, I got pulled over for speeding while my car was filled to the roof with wedding dresses and what I estimate to be more than $40,000 in jewelry. (I was trying to pass someone on one of those one-lane roads that adds an extra passing lane periodically but returns to one lane again real quick – so you have to speed to pass people in time. At least that’s what I tried to tell the officer.)

While he ran my plates, the trooper perused my vehicle, and asked if I was getting married. I suppose it was hard to miss all the tulle and sequins. Funny, I thought. No, I wasn’t. However, I didn’t know which answer he wanted to hear. I mean, if I wasn’t planning a wedding, what was I doing with all this stuff? Would he think I was speeding because I’d just robbed a nearby bridal boutique? I told the truth and, fortunatelly, got a warning.

You can see, it’s been a crazy ride. And now, the new issue of Arkansas Bride is finally here! It’s above and beyond my hopes for its summer debut. As is our website, which has even more tools and updated functions to help you find vendors and inspired ideas. Plus, there’s our new super-fabulous blog!

It’s been a whirlwind of all things bridal around here, to say the least! Now that it’s over, I have to say I’m a little sad; I can’t wait until we start working on our next issue in September.

In the meantime, please send along feedback about the new issue. Tell us what you think about its new look, and let us know what you think about our new website goodies. Comment on this post. Or, you can always Facebook us at Facebook.com/ArkansasBride.

Until September …
