Interesting news on the state of American marriages – according to a survey by Rasmussen Reports, 85 percent of surveyed couples say they view their marriage positively.
The telephone survey, conducted in May of 1,000 married couples, found 56 percent say they view their marriage as excellent and 29 percent say their marriage is good. As you might expect, newlyweds report their marriage more positively than those who have been married longer.
What’s more, 76 percent say marriage is at least a somewhat important institution.
