Stunning Sunset Styled Shoot at White Rock Mountain

This intimate, elopement styled shoot is absolutely breathtaking and goes to show that it pays off to pack into a car and get off the beaten path for your wedding or bridal portraits. Photographer Laura Powers of Lee Powers Photography kept the shoot simple and minimalistic, but with a beautiful modern gown that matched the hues of the sunset.

Laura says the crew packed into Danny’s 4-Runner at around 4 p.m. and headed to White Rock Mountain. Driving down the Pig Trail, they decided to stop at the famous Pig Trail Bypass Country Cafe for some “hooshburgers.” “It’s not just any roadside cafe/ convenient store, this is actually a significant place near the Ozark National Forest,” Laura says. “It was named to have the best burger in Arkansas, made by owner Hooshand Nazarali who moved here from Iran and created the kebab/cheeseburger known as the hooshburger.”

“There’s nothing better than heading to an elopement with your best friends, downing cheeseburgers in the car with the windows down laughing and listening to good music,” Laura says. “White Rock Mountain is breathtaking with a 180-degree view of the mountains.”

“[White Rock Mountain] is a prime location for any elopement ceremony. Once you drive to White Rock it’s only a five-minute walk to the overlook. There are even plenty of cabins at the top of the hill of guests and friends to stay after the ceremony.”
