St. Vincent, Ark. resident Bethany Gunderman and Michael Roberts of Russellville will exchange vows on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Vincent.

We had been dating for nearly two years, and had decided to take a spring break cruise to the Caribbean. We were getting ready for formal night events, which typically involves getting dressed up and taking pictures, followed by a formal dinner in the ship’s dining room. Mike was insisting that we go to the deck before dinner to catch the sunset, but since I had just fixed my hair, I wanted to take pictures first. On the way to dinner, we stopped at a photo backdrop, took a few run-of-the-mill pictures. At that point, he asked the photographer if we could do one more. He, then, got down on one knee and popped the question, with, what seemed like, half the ship watching. Of course I said, “yes!” It was absolutely, perfect and we were able to get some really amazing, fun pictures.
