The couple met on an online dating app while in Brisbane, Australia, where Devin’s family was vacationing and Seungdo (who also goes by Nick) was studying. Devin has spent many relationships worried about what the other person was thinking, but with Seungdo, she has never had to guess his feelings.
“He’s never been confused or played games,” Devin said. “He let me know very early and bluntly that he wanted to be together. He works hard all of the time, and makes me feel secure.”
Nick got down on one knee and popped the question two years after being together in his hometown in South Korea and the pair embarked on their “90-Day Fiancé” journey. The two were featured on season 10 of the show and are now residing in Arkansas.
“The show itself was quite stressful to film, and Nick became a protector of me in a way,” Devin said. “He would even do things to take the attention off of me sometimes (lol). Overall though, we had an exciting experience, and we have really had fun meeting viewers and sharing our story.”

Q & A
Q: What was your most worth-it splurge?
A: “I’d say the biggest splurge was the venue, and it was absolutely worth it,” Devin said. “I really wanted a clean and modern space that didn’t need too much work or decor. The large windows in the chapel and the reception space sold it for me. The bridal and groom’s suites were unmatched as well. I also had the blessing of Ms. Carol of The Venue at Oakdale as well. She worked so hard for us and constantly coordinated with my mother to make things as perfect as possible.”
Q: How did you incorporate Nick’s culture into the wedding day?
A: “Nick didn’t get his hands too dirty when it came to the wedding planning, but he did still have plenty of input,” Devin said. “He picked out his own Hanbok and chose his signature drink. It was “Maekju”, mixed with soju and beer. We included other touches to incorporate his culture such as our wedding cake topper and performing a mini Hapgeunrye (drinking from the same copper cup). The topper was a pair of ducks that symbolize the mating for life in Korean culture.”
Q: What was your favorite wedding detail?
A: “My favorite piece of decor was the cherry blossom trees we had over us during the ceremony,” Devin said. “The trees with the light coming through the huge windows were very simple but magical. They made the pictures so dreamy.”
Q: What surprised you about planning a wedding?
A: “My biggest shock might be how things can add up so quickly from planning a wedding, so I wish I might’ve started saving sooner,” Devin said. “Even Though I spent more than I expected, I wouldn’t change anything. My wedding was perfect!”
Q: What was your favorite moment of the day, and why?
A: “My favorite moment was when I finally got to put on the dress and carry my bouquet down the aisle,” Devin said. “It felt like everything had led up to it, and now the time is finally happening.”
KOREAN TRADITIONS
Devin had no idea what her dream wedding dress looked like, let alone be happy in a wedding dress at all! She was chatting with her family and Nick when the two decided to wear traditional Hanbocks, instead, to honor his heritage.
