Real Wedding: Blair Manley & Jackson Morgan

Blair Manley & Jackson Morgan

November 4, 2023 | Clinton Presidential Center | Boston Mountain Photography

Blair and Jackson met at a birthday party two months before she moved to Charleston, South Carolina. The two dated long-distance for to years before Blair eventually moved back to Little Rock. She has fond memories of their time together, as the distance only made their love grow stronger.

“Charleston is now such a special place for us, [and] our relationship really developed when Jack was able to visit,” Blair said.

Blair began to fall more in love with Jackson as she continued to see him with his family and friends. His warm and welcoming personality and selfless actions showed her how great of a guy he was!

After a long day at work, Blair came home to find Jackson had surprised her with flowers, champagne and playing their favorite song, “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. Jackson tearfully pointed to a ring box and said “I got something for you.” – it was perfect.

“My ring has the diamond from my grandmother’s engagement ring,” Blair said. “When my grandfather saw it he said ‘I did a pretty good job, didn’t I?’”

Q&A

Q: What was your vision for your wedding day?

A: “I am a very simple person which is why I thought the Clinton library was the perfect venue,” Blair said. “It really didn’t need a lot of extra stuff to make it beautiful and elegant. I just wanted simple white floral arrangements and candles to make it warm and romantic!”

Q: What was wedding dress shopping like?

A: “Dress shopping was probably my favorite part and the least stressful part of planning,” Blair said. “I got the perfect dress from Joon Bridal in Fayetteville, AR and it was a lovely experience. It really was as soon as I put on the dress I knew it was the one moment.”

Q: What is one thing that surprised you about wedding planning?

A: “The one thing that did surprise me was how excited I was about the tiny decisions when I finally made them,” Blair said. “I was so excited about how the invitations looked and did not expect that.”

Q: What was your favorite moment of the day?

A: “Being on the dance floor pretty much all night with our closest friends,” Blair said. “I left the dance floor once the whole night to change into my yoga pants and Crocs. Nothing made me happier than dancing all night with my best friends!”
