Anthony asked Aly to marry him in March 2022 in Breckenridge, Colorado. While exploring the village, they came upon a snowy bridge in front of the snow-covered trees and mountains. Aly wanted to stop and capture the moment, so they set up their tripod and started recording a video โposingโ for some pictures. To her surprise, Anthony got down on one knee and proposed, right as it started snowingโa total Hallmark movie moment!
Aly decided to plan the wedding with the help of Anthony and her mom, and she also wanted to bake her own wedding cake. โIt was a little stressful at times, but I wouldnโt have had it any other way. The process created so many memories along the way,โ Aly said. โI did use Tell Tale Events for our day-of coordination, though, and they were an essential part of why the day ran so smoothly!โ

Q & A
Q: What was one of your wedding must-haves?
A: โChicken tenders and tater tots for dinner!โ Aly said. โFrom the very beginning, I knew this is what I wanted, and when I ran the idea by Anthony, he was immediately on board. I am so glad we stuck to our guns on this one.โ
Q: What inspired your florals?
A: โBabyโs Breath, my favorite flowers and my favorite colors. Early on in the wedding planning process, I fell in love with this picture of a long arrangement of Babyโs Breath and I knew that it was what I wanted to focus my florals around. It was also the inspiration for the Babyโs Breath aisle runners for our ceremony, which we repurposed at the head table during the reception,โ Aly said.
Q: What is your secret to wedding planning success?
A: โMy mom and food! My mom always made sure our planning meetings were centered around food so I wouldnโt get hangry,โ Aly said. โWe rotated between breakfast meetings at @ The Corner or Flora Jeans and lunch meetings at Heights Taco & Tamale. Anthony would always ask me if I needed chicken nuggets before we started talking about wedding stuff.โ
Q: The moment you realized everything fell into place?ย
A: โTwenty four hours after the wedding, when we were in Hawaii, and our videographer sent us the highlight video of the wedding, it all sunk in and we realized how perfect it had all been,โ Aly said. โI just kept repeating to Anthonyโฆ โEverything that we have been dreaming and planningโwe just did that. Iโm so happy.โโ
MONEY WELL SPENT
The coupleโs most worth-it splurge was a three-way tie between their venue, photographer and videographer. Legacy Acres was beautiful and had wonderful staff. Chelsea Duff and Alpha Dream Productions perfectly captured their big day, and now they have photos and video to cherish forever!
MEMORABLE MOMENT
Aly and Anthony surprised their guests with a nontraditional first dance. They started out slow dancing to โLove Me Tenderโ by Elvis. Suddenly, the music cut to โLove Shackโ by the B-52s, and they broke out into a fun, choreographed dance!
