A little live music brought Paige Webb and Taylor Sweetin together. The two attended the same concert but with different groups of friends who happened to know each other. The two were introduced and started talking a week later.

The couple loves to hike, so Paige planned a weekend trip to the Buffalo River. Taylor told her that he wanted to take a picture of her at a lookout point. When she turned around, he was on one knee asking her to marry him. “It was simple, intimate and perfect,” she says. “And I had absolutely no idea because I planned the entire weekend! He knew that I would catch on if he did too much planning.”

THE INSPIRATION

COLOR STORY

Taylor and Paige had always talked about eloping to the Grand Canyon with just Taylor’s brother and sister-in-law joining them. Once they told Paige’s family about the idea, all 50-plus people insisted on coming, too. That’s when the couple knew they’d need to have a true wedding but wanted to pay homage to their original idea by bringing Southwestern influences.

The result was a “traditional boho” day bathed in a neutral color palette of white, black, taupe and mauve. Paige’s planner Jessika McCuin helped her bring her vision to life with velvet tablecloths, white roses and black metal centerpieces. Pampas grass made frequent appearances in arrangements, boutonnieres and bouquets.

HOW THEY CUSTOMIZED

As for the wedding fashion, Paige chose a simple satin A-line gown with thin straps and deep V-neckline with pockets. Taylor’s groomsmen wore classic black tuxes, but Paige had the idea from the beginning for him to wear a snakeskin jacket. “I found a great jacket that was subtle black snakeskin, and everyone ended up loving it,” she says.

The reception had signature drinks, a caricature artist and a fun band playing a variety of music from Bruno Mars and Marvin Gay to Justin Bieber and Chris Stapleton. Taylor even got on stage at the end of the night to sing his go-to karaoke song, “Walking in Memphis.”
