BAILEY BEVANS & CLAYTON SMITHย
June 12, 2021 / Bella Terra Estate
Bailey and Clayton grew up together, but were in different grades and friend groups for most of their lives. They attended middle school, high school and college together and didnโt start dating until after college graduation. Bailey is an architect, so Clayton planned the perfect proposal spot for her.
While touring a newly renovated office building in downtown Little Rock, Clayton took Bailey to the roof deck where he laid out roses, candles and champagne for her. It took Bailey completely by surprise, and she immediately started crying. She was crying so hard, she could hardly see the ring when he opened the box. Clayton popped the question, and they began planning the wedding of their dreams!
THE INSPIRATION
Bailey and Clayton are a very laid-back couple, so the main focus of their wedding day was to make sure everyone was comfortable. They chose a simple and rustic design for the wedding using rust and mustard yellow as their main color palette. They currently live in Texas, and are so surprised by how much more affordable planning a wedding in Arkansas is! Bailey is thankful the talented industry in Arkansas is so affordableโespecially for brides on a budget!
Baileyโs secret to wedding planning success is to remember that your wedding day is just one day compared to the rest of your life. Hardly anyone notices if something goes wrong, and chances areโno one will notice! She advises brides to not stress and, instead, celebrate with family and friends on the happiest day of their lives!
Bailey and Clayton are huge Red Dirt Country fans and wanted that to be reflected in their big day. They decided to have their first dance to Canโt Tell You No by Muscadine Bloodline. She says it was uniquely them.
โHonestly, marry your best friend!โ

Baileyโs favorite moment at a wedding is the look on the groom’s face when the bride walks down the aisle. She says it doesn’t matter how well she knows the couple, it always makes her cry! One of her favorite moments at her own wedding was being able to have alone time with her dad before the ceremony. They got to have a moment of peace and sit in the bridal suite drinking seltzers and taking selfies together.
โThis is your day. You (hopefully) only do it once, so do it with no regrets!โ
