Brittany Nollkamper & Zach Jones
Oct. 26, 2019
Osage House, Cave Springs
Brittany Nollkamper and Zach Jones met while in history class at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. The two bonded over being college athletes — Britt played softball and Zach was on the football team.
Zach popped the question on a beautiful fall day at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville. When they got to the museum, he led her down the trails to a beautiful set-up with flowers, champagne and pictures of the two of them. The couple’s friends and family surprised them by celebrating together at Crystal Bridges after Britt said yes.
Some brides dread the wedding planning process, but Britt absolutely loved every bit of it. So much so that she became a wedding planner herself. “Halfway through my experience, I realized that I was made to do this,” she says. “I could not wait to wake up every day and look at my checklist, chat with vendors and start pinning away on Pinterest. With that said, Britt Jones Co. was born.”
THE INSPIRATION

Britt’s obsession with all things fall served as the jumping off point for her wedding theme. She wanted to bring together a day that represented the season with modern and elegant touches during her favorite month of the year, October.
She fell in love with the Osage House from the moment she saw it. The couple’s ceremony took place in the stunning chapel with floor-to-ceiling glass windows. “There truly was nothing like it in Northwest Arkansas,” she says. “To this day, every time I go in that chapel it completely takes my breath away.”
Britt’s favorite part of the wedding design was the flowers. Her bouquet had pure white orchids, lunaria, pampas grass, deep burgundy ranunculus, dried bunny tail and creamy roses. The flowers perfectly complemented her romantic long-sleeved lace Essense of Australia gown.
The wedding stationery had a fall feel with curved gold foil lines that looked like pampas grass and perfectly matched the décor.
HOW THEY CUSTOMIZED
To decorate the ceremony space, Britt worked with her florist to create a beautiful arch with pampas grass, greenery, hydrangeas, dusty roses and light pink anthurium. Letting the beauty of the chapel shine, Britt added just two other 6-foot tall gold candelabras at the altar and two arrangements at the beginning of the aisle.
The couple’s vision for the reception was to have food and drinks galore and lots of fun throughout the night. Britt’s mom works in food service and she created a massive 18-foot charcuterie board with gourmet cheese, crackers, dips, spreads, fruits and veggies for the cocktail hour. Guests danced to a mash-up of feel good music, 2000s hip hop hits and some ‘80s classics. At the end of the night, the couple drove off together in a white Jeep.
Looking back on her favorite moment of the day, Britt says it was the moment they locked eyes when she walked down the aisle. “Zach is the perfect person for me,” she says. “He is the most supportive and positive person I have ever met. We always push each other to be the best version of ourselves.”
