Allie Sbarra & Jackson Smith

Rogers natives Jackson Smith and Allie Sbarra found each other at a young age. The two were high school sweethearts, having grown up with each other in the small northwest Arkansas town. Jackson surprised Allie with the perfect proposal, and had Allie’s friends and family in on the surprise as well. Jackson arranged to have Allie’s dad pick her up and take her to a luncheon, but instead, her dad dropped her off at the proposal location. After an emphatic “yes,” the newly engaged couple celebrated with their closest friends and family.
The Inspiration
When the time came to begin wedding planning, Allie fondly remembered a family trip to NYC where they dined at a restaurant called Beauty & Essex. She decided to recreate that nightclub-like atmosphere in northwest Arkansas.
“Our wedding planner did an incredible job of making that theme come to life inside Record, and it couldn’t have been more perfect,” Allie says.
Keeping in line with the nightclub feel, Allie’s dad insisted that the wedding was “10 percent ceremony, 90 percent dancing.” So they made the dance floor and DJ booth the focal point of the reception, and got the party started early.

Growing up with a love for florals, Allie knew she wanted dreamy, whimsical blooms to fill her wedding venue. The team at Tanarah Luxe Floral designed multiple floral arches that were placed along the aisle during the ceremony, and were repurposed to be used in the reception area.
For their signature cocktail, Allie and Jackson were looking for something light and refreshing during the hot Arkansas summer, so the couple went with grapefruit as the base flavor. As for the groom’s cake, Jackson is a big fan of rap music, so his cake was covered with his favorite rapper’s album covers.
The couple had full-size cardboard cutouts made of themselves to be used for transportable photo ops during the reception. To keep the party going, Allie and Jackson sent their guests home with a late-night snack of gourmet popcorn.
