While it might sound like a storyline straight out of primetime television, Fayetteville’s Margaret Adams and Conway’s Brett Burge can assure you their love origins in the hospital were completely unscripted. The two met in the NICU at Arkansas Children’s Hospital while Brett was in nursing school and Margaret was working toward a psychology degree.
Fast forward four years, the happy couple finished up their degrees and busied themselves with starting new careers. Then came one fateful November day; Brett kidnapped Margaret and drove her out to Mount Magazine. It was there that he got down on one knee and proposed, and there that Margaret happily accepted.
