Timing is everything. Especially when it came to Kevia Clemons and Jeremy Gill’s romance. The two both attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello and although they both grew up in the same town of El Dorado, it wasn’t until college that their paths crossed.
Fast forward to April 11, 2015. Kevia and Jeremy had planned a weekend getaway in Little Rock to attend Kevin Hart’s comedy tour. Jeremy had already pre-arranged for our friends to come in town the very next day for the proposal. After playing a prank on Kevia during our shopping outing, Jeremy asked for her hand in marriage and the rest is history.
The Inspiration
Kevia had a vision for glamour. Their wedding colors were a mix of Kevia and Jeremy’s favorite colors. Kevia loves pink and wanted to utilize both light and dark shades, while Jeremy’s favorite color is gold. Because it was a summer wedding, they wanted to accentuate the wedding colors with a playful accent of orange.
The Gills also wanted the convenience of having everything in one centralized location, which was what they loved most about the El Dorado Conference Center.
How They Customized
Kevia’s creativity was a hit with the layered programs. She wanted to create and personalize the programs herself. Each had a glittery, champagne backer, with a pink or champagne bow fastened at the top to complement the colors of the wedding.
Their planner was so excited when they informed her of their wedding colors. In fact, many of Kevia’s vendors hadn’t worked with their particular color scheme before. Kevia had one main request as a bride — she insisted on having real flowers only. The two love the fact that the arrangement gave the illusion as though it was suspended in the air.
