Blytheville natives Danielle Ramsdell and Riley Carter were just kids when they met 12 years ago. Their story originates as family friends, but evolved into more as the two dated on and off for a few years. After more than a year “off,” they rekindled their relationship and have been together ever since.
It was an ordinary Sunday evening when Dani and Riley went for a drive after dinner. As the sun began to set, the couple parked and went for a walk at a nearby field. With this as the romantic backdrop, Riley got down on one knee and proposed.
The Inspiration
Not only did Dani have a vision of elegance and romance for the event, but she also pulled it off in less than seven weeks. Though it took lots of help from family and friends, they were able to create a navy, blush and gold-accented soirée that allowed the charm of the gardens to shine.
How They Customized
That charm touched every aspect of the night’s events from the homemade pumpkin bread favors to the vintage Razorback groom’s cake to the s’mores bar. Even being the coldest day in October couldn’t put a damper on things, especially with the bridal party’s beautiful faux fur shawls made by Dani’s mother, and even Dani’s adorable transition to fuzzy slippers throughout the reception. But besides the couple themselves, the talk of the night was certainly Creasy, their Italian Mastiff who charmed the crowd and even served as their ring bearer.
