Ashley Hudson & Andrew Pierce

Private Family Residence
Once Andrew Pierce and Ashley Hudson met at their church in Hamburg, they knew there was no going back. Ashley was only 17 and had never had a boyfriend, so the two took things really slow. But it was truly love at first sight.
On New Year’s Eve, right before the start of 2016, Andrew asked God to bless him with one last thing that year… that Ashley would say “yes” and marry him.

The Inspiration
Ashley really wanted a woodsy, folk-themed wedding that truly represented her and Andrew. They combined a little bit of everything they loved for the big day.
The venue chosen was on the back 40 acres of the land Ashley grew up on. From the trail they walked down, to the field the couple said “I do” in, Ashley had explored and played on all of it.
On top of that, Andrew and Ashley had walked the area many times when they first started dating.
How They Customized
Since almost everything was DIY by the bride and groom, personalization was important. Ashley painted and made a lot of the decorations, and Andrew and Ashley’s dad made the seating and ceremony arch.
“Our wedding would not have had the magical feel I had dreamed of if we hadn’t had Anna’s amazing floral work,” Ashley says of the owner of Magnolia Belle Floral. “[The flowers were] truly breathtaking.”
