Q: I currently live in California but am planning to get married in Little Rock next year. I was wondering if you could help me in finding a wedding location in the area, preferably close to downtown. — April Mross, California

Don’t Forget Mom
Q: Could you please give me some names of stores in the central Arkansas area for dresses for mother of the bride? I am aware of a few such as Elle, B. Barnett, Feinsteins, Ann’s Bridal and Bridal Cottage. Can you suggest any others? — Sandra Loper, Cabot
A: That’s a good start! We would also suggest you take a look at Low’s Bridal in Brinkley. It’s worth the hour-and-a-half drive to browse through its collection of mother-of-the-bride dresses. It has a good selection of styles, colors and sizes. Also, David’s Bridal in Little Rock carries a few dresses, though not a huge selection. Don’t discount the department stores, such as Dillard’s, J.C. Penney and M.M. Cohn. Often, they have dresses perfect for everything from the most formal weddings to small, outdoor garden ceremonies.
