Proposals Bridal Boutique Celebrates New Ownership With Sale March 16-19

Toni Register Tucker and Mary Rutherford Jennings, both of Little Rock, are the new owners of Proposals, a wedding gown and formal wear retail business located in Little Rock’s Heights neighborhood.

“In appreciation of Proposal’s loyal customers and in anticipation of upcoming proms, weddings and graduation events we’re planning a New Ownership Sale from Wednesday-Saturday (March 16-March 19),” Jennings said. “Select items will be reduced up to 75 percent.”

Tucker and Jennings acquired the store from Buddy Benafield. Benafield’s daughters Dawne Vandiver and Shannon Aston had managed it since its founding in 2003. Vandiver and Aston are assisting the new owners during the transition.

“We plan to continue the tradition Dawne and Shannon have built,” Tucker said. “We’ll continue to provide special orders but we’re also adding some new lines and styles of clothing, shoes and accessories which we believe will be well received.”

Proposals is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday. After-hour appointments are available by calling (501) 661-4696. The boutique is at 5913 Kavanaugh Blvd. in The Heights in Little Rock.
