Northwest Arkansas Wedding: Courtney & Trey’s Preppy Affair at the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks

Rogers natives Courtney Kell and Trey Becton began their relationship as high school sweethearts. Exactly seven-and-a-half years after they started dating, Trey proposed. “I am not the easiest person to surprise, but Trey did a great job,” Courtney says.

As part of his ruse, Trey told Courtney their friends were going out to dinner for a friend’s birthday. While she was getting ready, he called and asked if she could pick him up since he was running late. “When I went inside his house, he had strung old pictures and several notes, each with a reason of why he loved me, along the wall,” Courtney recalls. A candlelit path led from the kitchen to where he was kneeling, ready to ask the question. “It was absolutely perfect.”
