Northwest Arkansas Engagement: Serena Wren of Pocahontas & Andrew Fontenoy of Little Rock

Serena Wren of Pocahontas and Little Rock native Andrew Fontenoy — now both Fayetteville residents — are engaged to be wed March 16, 2013 at Park on the River in Maumelle. Stephanie Parsley Photography sent us these photos and the couple’s sweet engagement story. All the best, guys!

We were engaged in early March when he took me to a local coffee shop. After he was sure that I was highly caffeinated, he pulled out a book of poetry from Keats and said he had a gift for me. I opened up the book to find a square had been cut through the pages and a pearl ring with diamonds covering the band.

Underlined beside the ring were the words “A thing of beauty is a joy forever: Its loveliness increases; it will never pass into nothingness; but still will keep a bower quiet for us, and a sleep full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing.” I would not allow myself to cry in public, so I begun to hysterically laugh instead. Later, when we went to tell our friends, we all decided to end the night with celebratory dancing on top of Mount Sequoyah.
