Jordan Neigler of Racine, Ohio and Cody Coonrod of Gentry, Arkansas got engaged on 11-11-11 in a surprise caught-on-camera moment. Here’s how Jordan recalls the proposal:
“Cody had a professional photographer pose as a newspaper photographer and ask us to pose for a few pictures because his editor ‘wanted some of the park/Veterans Day parade with the fall colors.’
I was beyond excited at the thought of being in the paper because I knew my mom would be pumped.
But as we were posing for pictures, I quickly realized that we weren’t going to be in the paper. My fiance began to stutter something, and next thing I knew, he was on one knee. All I could muster out was ‘You’re going to get your knee wet!’ ”
Not only was the whole thing photographed by Main Street Studios of Siloam Springs for the happy couple to cherish as a memory forever, but it was also captured on video by Cody’s brother, who had been hiding behind a nearby wall for 45 minutes.
Such a great story.
Jordan and Cody are planning an Oct. 6, 2012 wedding to take place at St. Anthony’s On the Creek in Lowell, Arkansas.
