“We met through mutual friends,” Thi said. “A typical lover’s success story – so many laughs, comforts, and sides of goofy.”
This couple scheduled a weekend getaway in Abilene, Rancho Loma, where Nick planned to propose. They spent the day exploring the town and visiting local business owners, and it was exhausting. Thi spent the rest of the afternoon napping away while Nick was nervously planning how he was going to pop the question. The couple got ready for dinner that night (Nick asked Thi to change 3 times because he wanted everything to be perfect) and when the sun was setting as they walked through the ranch, Nick got down on one knee.
“Thank goodness it was dark outside because I was balling my eyes out while hysterically laughing like a psycho,” Thi said. “Of course, I said yes. But we still talk about my reaction which was priceless and so unexpected.”
Thi and Nick tied the knot on Septembe 28, 2019 at Old Pharmacy Museum/Race and Religious in New Orleans.
