McCrory couple Elizabeth Jones and John Golden will exchange wedding vows on April 5, 2014 at McCrory Church of Christ.

John proposed to me on May 10, 2013, the night before my graduation from Harding University. We went out to eat dinner for what I assumed to be a celebration of my upcoming graduation. After dinner, when we got in John’s truck to leave, he blindfolded me with a bandana. I really had no idea where we were headed, but after about 10 minutes, we stopped.
John helped me out and walked me a little ways until we stopped on some grass. I kept my eyes closed as he took the bandana off of me. When he told me to open my eyes, he was down on one knee. We were in the middle of a heart made out of lit votive candles, and our families and closest friends were standing nearby. He asked me to marry him and I, of course, said yes! After the initial shock, I realized we were on the front lawn at Harding University. It was the perfect proposal.
