Love is in the Air: Inside Your Spring/Summer 2017 Issue of Arkansas Bride Magazine

Editor's Note SS17 Arkansas Bride Devan Ernie

There must be something in the water. Over the past six months, our office has been abuzz with wedding bells, and every few desks, you’re bound to be blinded by engagement bling.

We don’t mind, of course. We live for that sort of thing. In fact, it takes all our willpower not to be that girl. You know, the know-it-all friend who already got married and wants to tell you exactly how to.

So, once our squealing subsided from witnessing publisher Rachel Bradbury Pitre’s oh-so-Southern and elegant autumn wedding — and after the goosebumps we got from marketing manager Devan Malone’s one-of-a-kind proposal story — we figured it best to do our thing. We put together the most inspiring and helpful edition of Arkansas Bride yet. That way, our brides on staff, and our darling bride readers, continue to have the best planning tool in The Natural State (our magazine, duh!).

Inside this lovely edition, you’ll find a bridal fashion spread inspired by spring and all that aforementioned love in the air. There are some seriously beautiful wedding gowns in the section, along with jewelry that will knock your socks off.

All of the designer gowns featured are available at Arkansas bridal boutiques where the shopping experiences are second to none. Take it from our staff brides-to-be—there’s absolutely no need to travel to Dallas or Tennessee or wherever. Please dress shop local.

Deeper inside, two styled shoots are swoon-worthy. We’ve got tablescapes for days (all inspired by invitations the designers discovered or commissioned themselves). And perhaps the most exciting piece of this issue is our feature story. We take you A to Z through Arkansas’ latest wedding trends and answer questions brides frequently ask us.

So settle in, perhaps with a cup of coffee or a glass of champs, and enjoy each and every page—all of which were crafted with great care, just for you.

Happy wedding, sweet brides!

All my best,

Lindsay Irvin, Editor
