Kelsey Smith Moeller is a kindergarten teacher at Hugh Goodwin Elementary School in El Dorado and she decided to give her kindergarten class a bridal first-look they would never forget. The surprise and excitement on their faces when they saw Kelsey in her wedding dress is oh-so-precious! Little did she know, her kindergarteners had a surprise of their own for her. The students hand-painted a white dress for Kelsey and threw her a bridal shower! Kelsey’s mom, a substitute teacher in the El Dorado School District, coordinated this special surprise for her daughter just a few days before the bridals were taken.
Kelsey found her wedding dress at She Said Yes Bridal in Rogers. Her mom and friends helped make this first-look feel so special for the students and Kelsey.
2 weeks after the bridals were taken, the El Dorado School District shut down due to COVID-19. These kindergartener’s time with Kelsey may have been cut short, but they will always remember the memories that took place in Miss Smith’s classroom.
Kelsey and her now-husband, John, were married on May 30, 2020. Kelsey and her mom set up a table at her wedding reception which honored her kindergarten class. The table showcased the dress her students gifted her, a banner of her students and coloring sheets made from her bridal with her classroom.
