Summer Nash of Wheatley and Scottie Patton of Mellwood are getting hitched! The two have set the date for Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Wheatley Methodist Church followed by a reception at Wheatley Civic Center. We’re loving their sweet engagement session by Lela & Lyla Photography.
Here’s their love story in Summer’s words:
“Scottie proposed to me on November 5, 2016 in my grandmother’s backyard. My mom and I had attended a wedding earlier that day and on our way home she suggested we pick something up from my grandmother’s home. I walked to the backyard where I saw Scottie standing under the pergola that was covered with lights. Approaching Scottie I saw my dog, Miss Kay, wearing a sign that said “Mom, say yes.” Scottie got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him and of course I said YES. We shared champagne and chocolate covered strawberries together before heading to my house where both of our immediate families were there to celebrate.”
