We are so excited for Arkansas bride Jessa Duggar (now Seewald) and new husband Ben!
They exchanged vows on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, in front of tons of loving friends and family at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville.
Ben proposed to Jessa, one of the stars of TLC’s “19 Kids & Counting” in August, a fast turnaround on a wedding that would scare some brides, but not Jessa.
“Jessa said, ‘You can make planning a wedding really complicated, or you can make it simple,’ and she chose simple. We’re so excited for them,” her father, Jim Bob Duggar told People Magazine.
The rehearsal on Friday night was full of happy tears and ice tea toasts from both families and video tributes from friends, as well as plenty of Frito pie to munch on, according to People.
Not afraid to do things on their own terms, Jessa and Ben put some unique twists on their wedding, including keeping their first kiss from the crowd and ditching a traditional wedding cake for their favorite ice creams and brownies.
To absolutely no one’s surprise, Jessa looked stunning in a blush Allure gown with a beaded bodice from Tesori Bridal in Fayetteville. It was the second dress she tried on, and there was no moving on after that.
If you just can’t get enough, don’t worry. TLC was there to capture the whole ordeal and will air the nuptials next season.
