How to Pick Out the Perfect Wedding Day Jewelry

You have your engagement ring, your bands and your dress, but now it is time to accessorize for your perfect day. In part one and part two of this blog series, we discussed different terms so that you may more easily talk to your jeweler about your ideal engagement ring and wedding bands. Now, I’ll teach you how to explain and get what you really want for your bridal jewelry.

I find it funny that we put so much effort into picking the perfect dress when we will wear it one time. We lose weight to fit into it, wear awful underwear to lift, suck and separate things while wearing it, and usually spend a small fortune on it. Why we don’t take the same care to pick out the perfect jewels to wear on our wedding day is beyond me!? Especially when these jewels are able to be worn your whole life and you’ll never have to diet or run an extra mile to feel comfortable wearing them.

The first questions you will need to ask yourself are:

  1. What style is my dress?
  2. What type of jewelry would coordinate?

(and, of course)

  1. What do I really want?

Do I want a huge statement piece like the Leslie Greene cuff pictured? Or do I want to stick with the traditional thought of something old, new, borrowed and blue – like the Armadani aquamarine and diamond earrings pictured. They would make a perfect piece to by your something new and blue!

You also can not go wrong with a simple and beautiful necklace. The Kwiat necklace pictured would give someone just the right sparkle for a classic look – and later, after the wedding, it can be worn on a daily basis! The same goes for pearls. They’re timeless and can be mixed into your everyday wardrobe after the nuptials.

Think about your style, about what your bridal look will be, and about how special it would be to have a piece of jewelry to wear on your wedding day and many days after to commemorate this event.

All the jewelry pictured/mentioned are available at Romance Diamond Co. Give the store a call at (479) 443-9289 if you’re interested in learning more or if you’d like to set up an appointment with one of the sales associates to discuss what you really want for your bridal look!
