Fall/Winter 2025 Issue Out Now: A New Era

When I got married in 2023, the wedding industry was pumping out a new trend daily. Every time I opened social media, my feed was flooded with “never-seen-before” ideas I should incorporate into my wedding day. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed with possibilities.

We initially planned a wedding with over 300 guests to appease family and friends. The idea of walking down the aisle in front of so many people made me want to crawl in a hole and hide, and yet I remained silent to avoid being labeled as a “bridezilla.” Then, all of my anxieties from the outside opinions came to a screeching halt the moment I saw my wedding dress.

The corset-inspired sheer bustier top, adorned with exposed boning, 3D floral details and intricate beading flowed gracefully into a romantic tulle skirt. Stepping into this gown made me feel complete. In that moment, I knew this gown was the one choice I was making purely for myself, and no one else.

Soon after, I gathered the courage to sit my future husband down and ask if we could have a smaller wedding like we always wanted. He backed me up without a second thought and we cut the guest list in half. We tied the knot in front of 120 people at Anthony Chapel, and celebrated with 60 of our dearest friends and relatives after. It was a magical day I’ll never forget!

We were able to have the wedding we’ve always wanted, and all because of a dress.

All this to say, how you feel in whatever you choose to wear on your wedding day can transform your entire experience. This is why Meredith Lehman (our talented art director) and I were so excited to showcase The Art of Texture. A simple detail can spark big ideas, which is why we invited Arkansas florists and planners to illustrate Sophisticated Sips – because a simple concoction can become the focal point of your wedding inspiration. You’ll also find 16 real weddings showcasing couples celebrating their dream wedding days with their loved ones from all over the state.

It’s no secret Arkansas Bride is entering a new era! With a new interim editor, fresh vendors and innovative ideas, we’re thrilled for the journey ahead. Our main goal for our readers is to emphasize that your wedding day should revolve around what matters to you and your partner. The ideas presented here can be achieved regardless of budget, location or outside opinions about what you should and shouldn’t do. This is for you, and only you!
