You always hear talk of the June bride. Truth be known, there’s nothing like an October bride, December bride or any bride. And while a spring wedding brings images of azaleas and tulips blooming, fall and winter weddings provide their own dramatic backdrops. A walk down the aisle under a canopy of blazing red maple trees or a candlelit ceremony on a crisp December evening is just as wonderful and memorable.
Speaking of memorable, this edition of Arkansas Bride is just that. The fashion is absolutely gorgeous, and just in case you missed it – strapless is hot for fall and winter. The looks are classic but very stylish.
Another memorable moment: Assistant Editor Amanda Morgan had the opportunity to speak to the one and only Preston Bailey, dubbed “event planner to the stars.” He’ll be in Rogers Sept. 29-30 to share ideas and tips on incredible wedding designs at the Designer Wedding Challenge. Amanda found him to be delightful and a wealth of information. He shares some ideas with us just for you here.
Take this issue and keep it with you as you would a lifeline. Bend or flag pages, make notes in it, and keep it in the car with you as you plan one of the most fun and meaningful events in your life.
Our constant reminder to you is to relax and enjoy every moment. Planning a wedding is like taking a vacation by car. It doesn’t start when you get to the beach 10 hours away; it begins when you back out of the driveway. So slow down and enjoy all of the scenery along the way.
Best,
