As you’re ironing out the details of your wedding, we want you to remember the best moments of your big day. We’ve asked some ladies around the office at Arkansas Business Publishing Group, including Arkansas Bride editor Lindsay Irvin, to tell us their favorite wedding memories. Enjoy!
Betsy Tilley, Account Executive, Arkansas Bride — “Since it was a destination wedding, the memory of so many friends and family making the trip to Florida was so special!”
Michelle Foshee, Account Executive, Arkansas Bride — “Seeing Justin for the first time, and the ceremony when the preacher asked the big question and instead of answering with ‘I do,’ he said, ‘Absolutely.’”
Lindsay Irvin, Editor, Arkansas Bride — “My dad crying when he brought me to the church, because he said he was losing his little girl. Of course, he wasn’t losing me, but it was a special moment. And the moment the limo doors closed behind Michael and me and we started to pull away from the reception … it was like the first real moment we had to register what just happened and that we had a week of vacation in paradise ahead.”
Brandy Hubener, Account Executive, Arkansas Bride — “[My] hubby surprised me & had two bareback horses waiting for us after the ceremony (as we strolled down the beach at sunset).”
Leigh Walker, Account Executive, Soirée — “All my friends and family celebrating under one roof.”
Kate Knable, Assistant Editor, Arkansas Business — “There are so many! But one of the most meaningful and personal things we did at our reception was have a special dance with our siblings. I got to dance for the first time in my life with all six of my brothers (one at a time), including my older brother Andy, who was my hero when I was a kid.”
Luci Deere, Account Executive, Soirée — “Getting ready to walk down the aisle, doors were shut and it was just me and my dad.”
Tasha Amos, Senior Account Executive, Little Rock Family — “My dad officiated and teared up when I walked down the aisle but when he spoke, he jokingly blamed his tears on his allergies.”
Deborah Edwards, Account Executive, Little Rock Family — “Almost forgetting the groom’s ring! I had my sister go get it about two minutes before I walked down the aisle!”
Amanda Hoelzeman, Managing Editor, Soirée — “Keith’s face as we said our vows. He smiled the whole time. Wow! He had no idea what he was getting himself into. Haha!”
Taylor Bowers, Marketing Coordinator, Arkansas Business Publishing Group — “The whole night! It was truly perfect, and exactly what we wanted.”
Next week, we’re revealing the final picks from the editors at ABPG!
