Doug & Brittany have been dating since 2005, where they met at a concert and were immediately smitten. Right after graduating college Brittany had just accepted an internship at Seventeen Magazine in NYC and Doug had just been accepted into an advertising program in Brooklyn. Before making the big move from Arkansas to NYC, Doug & Brittany went on a cruise to Italy with Doug’s family. On the last day of their trip, Doug asked Brittany if she wanted to go on a walk before dinner. Little did Brittany know that Doug had been carrying the ring in his pocket for the entire cruise, waiting for the right moment. They walked to a little fisherman’s pier and they sat on the rocks and watched the water and talked about highlights from the trip and their dreams of living in NYC. When Doug proposed it was all so incredibly surreal and Brittany was in shock, and asked him “Is this real life?”…. followed with a combination o f crying and saying “YES” several times. It was an incredible experience and Doug couldn’t have planned out a more intimate and romantic moment for them to remember forever.
