Dardanelle Arkansas Wedding: Bayley Hepp & Lucas Cox

Though Bayley Hepp of East End and Lucas Cox of Dardanelle were both students at the University of Central Arkansas in 2010, it took a mutual friend’s snowy day get-together to bring them face-to-face. “We spent the entire time talking and really hit it off,” Bayley said. “Little did we know, that day would lead to us spending many more days together and eventually end in marriage.”

BRIDE’S INSPIRATION
“I knew I wanted my wedding to be outdoors because Lucas is very outdoorsy. I also wanted chic, girly elements that might be seen in a traditional wedding.”

HOW THEY CUSTOMIZED
“I hand-made napkins for each place setting out of a soft floral print fabric. Our favors were jars of jam my grandma made from scratch. We chose to use the jam as favors because I was obsessed with jelly toast growing up and it went along with the country feel of the wedding.”

HOW THEY SAVED
Bayley said Lucas not only built the altar and a large entrance sign but also wedding centerpieces “for almost nothing.” Hay bales were used for seating, and a family friend donated fabric to wrap the bales and for draping the barn entrances.
